Sikuma received Fulbright Foreign Student Program scholarship to continue higher studies at Hunter College, CUNY, USA. She was enrolled in the MFA Integrated Media Arts program in August 2022 and is planning to graduate in 2025. 

Sikuma worked as a Costume Designer for a Nepali feature film "A Road to a Village" directed by the esteemed Nepali indigenous filmmaker Nabin Subba. The pre-production began in mid-2021, finished shooting in February 2022, and is undergoing final editing in April 2023.

Sikuma was invited to speak at the 49th Annual Conference on South Asia, organized by University of Wisconsin–Madison, along with the screening of her documentary "Come over for a drink, kanchhi" held virtually.
